Heavenly Strike is a technique that Jin Sakai can learn by completing the Mythic Tale of The Heavenly Strike.
The technique is a blindingly fast attack that has its user flash through the enemy with a single horizontal slash of the blade.
In Legends, the Heavenly Strike can be used by any class that equips the Stone Striker legendary Katana; in addition, the Samurai class can perform the Heavenly Strike at Rank 5 so long as they have the perk equipped.

The Heavenly Strike can be used by pressing

at the same time. Using it in combat consumes Resolve.
The attack is unblockable, but would only inflict a fraction of damage through the enemy guard. Enemies that fail to guard or are staggered beforehand take immense damage; those killed by the Heavenly Strike have their weapon arm amputated, which will make nearby enemies who witness the brutality momentarily flinch with a chance of being affected by the Terrify status and flee the battle. Enemies brutalized by Heavenly Strike are guaranteed to die, meaning there's no chance for them to crawl in near-death state for Jin to end their suffering and gain extra Resolve.
In Duels, this technique serves as a speed move because it only does minimal damage to the opponent but hits really quick, causing it to be the opposite to the power move of the Dance of Wrath.
When augmented with the Way of the Flame, the technique can inflict burn damage to whomever survives the slash.
Another thing is that you can with a charm in New Game+ add to this ability with Heavenly Rebuke which can make lighting strike a nearby enemy

- After Jin finishes the strike he automatically wipes the blood off his blade.
- With both Yasuhira and the unnamed descendant of Shigenori killed, Jin is the only known warrior alive to master this technique after the Tale is completed.
- It is possible to kill the opponent in a duel with Heavenly Strike if your katana is at max level and wearing maxed out Sakai clan armor, making it extremely difficult to achieve.
