Epilogue: Last Words is the final mission in Ghost of Tsushima: Iki Island DLC. The mission requires Jin to return to Fune’s Refuge to have some final words with Tenzo and Fune.
Synopsis[]
Having killed The Eagle in a duel and coming to terms with his father's death, Jin heads back to Fune's Refuge where he talks with Tenzo and Fune. Everyone is relieved with the Eagle's demise and that if they keep fighting, the Eagle Tribe will soon lose their foothold on Iki. Fune tells Jin to find her later as she needs the help of a samurai who knows how to keep secrets before walking away, leaving Jin and Tenzo alone. Tenzo tells Jin that many people still suffer from the hallucinogenic effects from The Eagle's poison and while acknowledging that there's no cure, he can ease their pain and maybe help some of them recover just like how he helped Jin recover The Eagle's poison. Jin then tells Tenzo that The Eagle's poison forced him to relieve his father's death and that it gave him another chance at avenging his death. Tenzo then asks what Jin did, to which Jin can respond with either "I forgave myself" or "I overcome my guilt". After telling Tenzo what he did in order to come to terms with his father's death and absolve himself of his guilt, Jin tells Tenzo that while the feeling never leaves completely, it recedes. Tenzo then deduces Jin's words in how he should heal the others: By guiding them through the memories and helping them to face their fears. Jin and Tenzo tell each other that they're glad that they've met each other before bidding farewell to one another.
